2021 AJFF Audience Award Winners Announced

The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival is pleased to announce the winners of the 2021 AJFF Audience Award in three categories: Best Narrative, Best Documentary, and Best Short.

AJFF Audience Award winners are determined by popular vote of the festival audience, with moviegoers ranking each film on a four-point scale. The film receiving the highest average ranking wins that category.

Best Narrative: Here We Are

Nir Bergman, Director • Israel, Italy

Israeli auteur Nir Bergman returns with this tender drama about a protective father’s road trip with his autistic son and the anguish of separation.

Best Documentary: I Am Here

Jordy Sank, Director • South Africa

On her 98th birthday, a spirited South African Holocaust survivor reveals to her family her astonishing life journey.

Best Short: Space Torah

Rob Cooper • USA

Space travel, Jewish world values and Yiddishkeit conjoin in this visual stunner that relates the uniquely inspiring life and out-of-this-world journey of Jewish-American astronaut Dr. Jeff Hoffman.
