The 2016 AJFF is a cinematic smorgasbord: 23 days, 77 films, and more screenings than ever – 169 to be exact (not counting the Day of Encores). It all may seem slightly overwhelming, but fear not. We've got some tips to help you along the way, and as we countdown the days to Opening Night, we'll be giving you pointers to smooth your festival experience.

Festival Survival Tip: Scout Out Other Screening Options
If the screening you want is sold out, check the film listings for other dates, times and locations. We offer multiple showings of our most popular movies, sometimes as many as five in total. Even as we continue to see sold out screenings, the vast majority of our films still have screenings with tickets available.
If all else fails, you can put your name on the standby list, by signing up at the theater on the day of the screening. You do have to sign-up in person, but it's a great way to snag seats to your must-see screenings. We release any unoccupied seats at show time.
Of course, you can always keep your fingers crossed that the film you want will be one of our encore screenings on February 17. Those will be announced sometime after the festival begins.
