Eichmann's End: Love, Betrayal, Death

About The Film

In this edge-of-your-seat docudrama, award-winning filmmaker Raymond Ley reconstructs the chain of events that led to the capture of notorious Nazi war criminal Adolf Eichmann in 1950s Argentina. Testimonials and dramatic reenactments elucidate the riveting true story of Sylvia Hermann (Henriette Confurius), the daughter of a Holocaust refugee living in Buenos Aires, who unwittingly became romantically involved with Eichmann’s son, Klaus. Their affair soon arouses the suspicion of Sylvia’s father, Lothar Hermann (Michael Hanemann), who urges skeptical German and Israeli investigators to verify Eichmann’s whereabouts. As authorities close in, an unrepentant Eichmann (Herbert Knaup) dictates his memoirs to a Dutch journalist, boasting his masterminding the murder of millions of Jews. Brimming with tension and intrigue, EICHMANN’S END: LOVE, BETRAYAL, DEATH vividly portrays a largely unknown but pivotal episode of Nazi prosecution.
