2 Night

About The Film

The promise of a one-night stand between young Israeli strangers is frustrated by parking issues in 2 NIGHT, a smart and sexy romcom by award-winning music video director Roi Werner. After meeting at a singles bar, a nameless guy and girl hitch up for a ride home. She is flirtatious but shrill. He is soulful but charmless. Awkwardly confined in the car, the couple traverses overcrowded Tel Aviv in a nightlong search for a parking space, a metaphor for a generation that can’t seem to find its place. The film’s deceptively simple premise yields nexpected emotion, as banal chatter and crude wisecracks give way to shared dreams and fears as the characters grow on each other. An actor’s showpiece, 2 NIGHT features honest performances by Yaron Brovinsky and Israeli Academy Award nominee Keren Berger.
