We've told you when the 2017 AJFF will be; between January 24 and February 15. Now we're excited to announce where the festival will screen.
Year after year, we've brought movies to a theater near you, literally. In 2017, we'll continue our efforts to ensure as many people as possible can enjoy the world's finest independent and foreign films.
One way we're increasing access to AJFF is by adding Regal's Perimeter Pointe theater to the mix. This venue, where we'll screen for eight days, will increase the number of seats per screening. It's also centrally located, just off GA-400 near Perimeter Mall.
That means more people will be able to get their favorite films at the most convenient time and place.
Another new addition: a five day run at Woodruff Arts Center's Rich Auditorium, another sizable space that will help us ensure a constant intown presence, with plenty of seats for everybody.
We'll also continue in your favorite locations from years past. We'll continue our Opening Night tradition at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre (No, we do not yet know what this year's Opening Night film will be!).
Last year, we surprised even ourselves, nearly selling out the 2,700+ seat venue.
Georgia Theatre Company's Merchants Walk location, Regal's Tara Cinemas and Atlantic Station theaters all return in 2017, serving audiences both outside and inside the perimeter.
And of course, the festival will continue to anchor in the Lefont Sandy Springs theater it has called home for years. All of this will wrap up when we host Closing Night in Atlanta Symphony Hall after an incredible success there last year.
From East Cobb to Midtown, AJFF is committed to making this 23-day celebration of storytelling from across the globe as easy-to-access as possible. In 2017, we're happy to say it'll be as easy as going to your local movie theater.
